Andrea Hoskins, Intern
I am a Counselor in Training at Montooth Counseling, where I provide compassionate, low-cost mental health services to adolescents and adults. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Midway University and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lindsey Wilson College.
As a second-year graduate student, I work under the regular supervision of a licensed professional to ensure high-quality, ethical care. I have earned a certificate in Counseling Interventions and Evidence-Based Treatment for Adolescents as well as a Rainbow Certificate for providing affirming care to LGBTQ+ clients.
I am particularly passionate about supporting women and members of the LGBTQ+ community, helping them feel seen, empowered, and whole. While these populations are close to my heart, I welcome clients from all walks of life who are seeking healing and personal growth.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which I use to support clients processing trauma and other deeply rooted emotional challenges. I have a strong interest in working with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and depression.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two children, three dogs, and two cats. I’m also an avid houseplant enthusiast with a growing and thriving collection.
